Globus Family Of Brands announces new travel agent portal to arrive late 2024

Globus Family of Brands (GFOB) has announced the launch of a new globally integrated travel advisor portal – coming late 2024.

The new portal is designed to elevate the booking experience for travel advisors, replacing the current local platform with an improved system that aligns with global standards.

The portal represents a significant advancement in how travel advisors will interact with Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways, featuring strengthened booking functionality and streamlined systems that promise to simplify operations and increase overall efficiency.

Implemented across all APAC markets this year, the updated platform is poised to set a global standard for GFOB’s booking activity and resources for travel advisors, providing even more support to valued partners.

“We are thrilled to launch this globally integrated travel advisor portal,” Globus’ head of commercial (Australasia) Brett Simon said.

“This initiative underscores our commitment to providing advisors with the best tools and resources to upgrade their booking experience with GFOB overall and support their business growth.”

Key features of the redesigned portal include:

  • Improved reservation system: A completely revamped booking interface that offers improved functionality and user experience for advisors.
  • Trade training program: A brand-new training platform, GFOB University, aimed at equipping advisors with all the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully book GFOB products for their clients.
  • Custom marketing resources: A new marketing resource section (The Source), where advisors can customise their own marketing materials, enhancing their ability to engage potential customers with personalised content.

Additionally, the portal includes an array of enhancements designed to support travel advisors. These include:
Commission retention: Advisors will be able to generate personalised itinerary links that they can share directly with their customers. Before finalising a booking, customers will be prompted to return to their advisor, thus, helping the advisor retain their commission.

Brand-specific booking management

The MyAccount platform will be replaced by dedicated booking accounts (MyAvalon, MyGlobus, MyCosmos) for a more tailored experience.

Though the integration will happen automatically to ensure a seamless transition, GFOB will provide additional avenues to assist advisors in navigating the new portal including distributing a step-by-step training guide on the day of the launch, as well as webinar tutorials. Further training details to come over the coming weeks.
