Connections launches debut ‘Explore Hungary’ event

Travel trade event platform Connections has unveiled Explore Hungary with Connections, a new destination-focused event in partnership with Visit Hungary.

The inaugural edition takes place in Budapest from 26–29 April 2026,

It aims to connect international luxury travel agencies from Europe and the US with Hungarian hotels, resorts, destination partners and experience providers.

The event will comprise three days of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings and networking.

The programme will combine Connections’ established meeting format with a cultural, culinary and destination-led experiences, designed to showcase both Budapest and the wider regions of Hungary.

While the event will be based in the capital, Explore Hungary has been developed to highlight the country’s broader luxury travel offering, including historic wine regions and countryside retreats and wellness destinations.

Selected agencies will also have the opportunity to take part in a post-event Fam trip, enabling them to further explore Hungary’s regions and develop more diverse itineraries for clients.

Máté Terjék, Head of International Key Markets at Visit Hungary, said: “Visit Hungary has been a long-standing partner of Connections, so hosting a dedicated edition is an important milestone for us. Budapest is a natural starting point for many travellers and a strong showcase for Hungary.”
